Lissamine Green strips are ideally used for diagnosis of dry eye syndrome and indication of deficient or damaged corneal cells.

Lissamine Green Strips are considered to be slightly superior to Rose Bengal Strips since it does not sting the eye like Rose Bengal strips.

Also a white light or blue light can be used on the slit lamp during detection.
